Busy people need quick and easy recipes. Cooking wild or cooking wild rice blends will save time in the future. The cook time is 35-45 minutes. No, that does not sound quick. It is easy, unlike potatoes you don’t have to peel anything.
After cooking up the wild rice or wild rice blends, drain, and cool. Fill baggies, freeze. Here is where the quick comes in: pull the baggy out of the freezer, use very little water in a bowl or casserole dish add wild rice or wild rice blend microwave a couple of minutes or so. Add sautéed mushrooms, celery, onions, garlic or create your own concoction for a side dish.
I like to make salads with our wild rice blends. Let your imagination be your guide great salads. Summer time, summer time, mosquitos, bees, lemonade, and salads. Yeh for salads, warm weather and barbeques.
